Putting New Ideas into Practice

I really enjoyed your workshop and I have been applying everything that I learned with my patients. Thank you for all of your advice and knowledge that I have been utilizing every day. I have quite a few patients on my caseload that have had not one but a few strokes and the treatment ideas you have provided have served as the most successful therapeutic approach toward their recovery and healing. Thank you so much!!!!

I thought of you today as I was at work with one of my stroke patients who is also Asian and aphasic. He is not only dealing with the limitations of a stroke but also with speaking mostly Chinese. After just two weeks of applying your functional therapy practices, your techniques have helped him to progress to walking with a rolling walker using his affected side and using his two hands together to support himself in his transfers and activities of daily living.

His entire family of 15 showed up today and witnessed him walking and giving me a handshake twice with his affected right arm. The look of amazement was apparent not only on his family's face but on his own at his achievements of being able to complete these functional movements with success. His spirit was renewed and the accomplishment was it's own reward.
